About me
My name is Vitaly, and I am a professional fine artist specializing in realistic oil paintings, with a particular focus on seascapes. I was born in 1988 in the small town of Volniansk in southeastern Ukraine. From early childhood I loved drawing, and over time this passion grew into something much deeper. I received my first formal artistic training at an art school, where I built a strong academic foundation in drawing and painting. Later I continued to study privately in the studio of a professional artist, dedicating many hours to practice and constantly improving my skills.
In addition to painting, I have always been deeply interested in geography and astronomy. Studying these fields broadened my understanding of natural phenomena, space, scale, and distance — knowledge that later became an important part of my realistic approach to my oil paintings. I also earned a degree in philology and worked for some time as a translator and later in logistics. However, this never interfered with my artistic path. Throughout those years I continued to paint and regularly created commission paintings for collectors and private clients.
Painting has always been my deepest passion and my main form of self-expression. The primary genre of my original artworks is landscape. Through my work, I strive to reflect the endless diversity and beauty of nature, inviting viewers to appreciate the delicate harmony of the world around us. With brush and paint, I aim to capture the richness, complexity, and natural authenticity of the environment — its subtle changes, fleeting moments, and unique atmosphere. It is no coincidence that landscape painting is my preferred genre, as it allows the full palette of colours to reveal the mood of nature, its harmony, and its powerful visual impression. Over the years I have learned to carefully convey the play of light and shadow, reflections, contrast, air, and space on canvas.
During many years of artistic practice, I have developed my own recognizable style and artistic handwriting. The purity of colour, the precision of brushwork, the subtlety of lines, and the careful attention to detail, together with a striving for authenticity, have naturally shaped my artistic style — realism. My oil paintings are the result of many hours of dedicated work, as well as the experience and knowledge accumulated through years of observation and practice. They are not simple copies of reality, but rather an interpretation of the world through my personal vision and artistic sensibility — an ongoing pursuit of the beauty. My art offers viewers an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of nature and feel connected to its vast and breathtaking beauty!
A special place in my work is dedicated to seascape oil paintings. For me, the sea is more than just a landscape. It is alive, ever-changing, unpredictable, and endlessly diverse. The sea fascinates and inspires me — it symbolizes freedom, freshness, and eternal movement. It is both my source of inspiration and a place of inner calm. Each seascape painting is an attempt to capture a unique moment — the energy of the waves, the power of the elements, its destructive force and its indescribable beauty. Through these paintings, I hope to share with the viewer the emotions, atmosphere, and deep feelings that the sea evokes. In addition to landscapes and seascapes, I also enjoy creating portraits and custom paintings (more information in Commission Painting). I create original, hand-painted oil paintings, carefully working on every piece from the initial composition to the finest details. Each artwork is one-of-a-kind and created using professional materials and classical painting techniques. My paintings are created for people with a refined aesthetic taste — for those who value authenticity, quality, sincerity, and the beauty of realistic art.
Currently, I live and work in Kyiv, Ukraine. I regularly participate in local and regional exhibitions and have been a winner and prize-winner of several international online art competitions.
Over more than 15 years of artistic practice, my work has reached collectors around the world. My paintings, including many commissioned artworks, are now part of private collections in North America, Europe, and Asia.
